The race is call “http://www.hottshotrunningchallenge.com”. When you compete in one of our signature races, you are running 4 individual trials/races. 4 starts, 4 finishes and 1 final score. You will be competing in a 400meter, 800meter, 1500meter and a 3000meter race. Each race is scored using a patent pending scoring system similar to the way a modern-day decathlon is scored. Instead of competing on just time, you are competing against a point system. We are actively seeking Race Directors and Event Planners throughout the country to plan, schedule and bring to life one of our signature races. The total miles covered is 5700 meters or 3.54 miles. Slightly longer then the last 5k you ran.

runsignup.com will be used to register runners for any upcoming events. We have chosen them as we have tested their data dumps and the upload procedure with the back-end of the Hott shot running challenge website.

Scheduling a timing company early in the process should be a top priority. We will work with the timing company in advanced and test their data dumps well before the actual race. Unlike most races where the timing company simply posts the competitors times to their website. Our race requires the timing company to dump the race data and then we will upload the data in to the Hott shot running back-end. We take care of that for you. As you peruse the site you will notice all the timing comparison and the detail spend on each runner. This is not your mothers standard 5k and it tske more then a simply calculation to score the runnners.

The course. Because we have 4 race trials all within 1 race, it is best to have an out and back course where we do not need to move the start or finish lines. The course should be setup where the turn around is clearly marked and removed after the that trial has completed. The longest run is the 3000m, so any running venue/park/roadway that can accommodate 1 mile out and back course is ideal. The race is setup in such a way that it is very fan friendly with on lookers able to see their favorite runners on multiple occasions pass by. See... measuring the course.

Key point Do your Race Director stuff as though you are promoting a 5k, 10k or any running event. Except most of the monies raised will be put into your pockets and not the race. To draw competitors from all run disciples (5k, 10k, marathon, triathlon, etc.) we have more ways to compete. Every runner who registers is entered into the overall and gender age category competitions. These age categories are 5-year increments for both the men and women. In addition to the individual runs, we have 3 group challenge competitions. The team challenge, relay challenge and predictive challenge make for a fun competition and more ways to get your company or group involved. The team challenge uses 4 of the top runners in your group and uses their total score. The relay challenge uses the top 4 runs not runners to award a champion. The predictive challenge uses all members of the team by adding all their times together and compared against a predictive time that the team captain has entered.
